Confused Drivers in Yate

It seems that I am not the only one to have noticed this recently, as I read a similar view in the Evening Post last night (Monday 22nd August), but it seems the council may have let some things go recently.

 

Whilst driving from Codrington to Chipping Sodbury, a route I take on occasion, I always look out for the sign on the left hand side, pointing me down the country road to Chipping Sodbury but when I was looking for it, it just didn't seem to appear.

 

I had made it to the Wapley sign and realised I had gone too far, but where had the sign, and the road for Chipping Sodbury gone?

 

I turned around and headed back towards Codrington, and this time wasn't being tailgated by inpatient man in a car behind and then I realised where the sign had gone……. It was behind some rather over grown bushes that had now completely obscured the sign.

 

In the Evening Post last night, another motorist noticed the signage from Yate towards the Kendelshire Golf Course had also become obscured by foliage.

 

For those who drive regularly and are resident in Yate, this obviously isn't a problem but for others, this is a nightmare.

 

I think it is about time the council but some money into the uncovering of these road signs, don't you?
