Elderly lady robbed in Bradley Stoke: Appeal for witnesses

A youth riding a bicycle swiped an elderly lady's handbag in Bradley Stoke on Monday (October 15).

The crime occurred at about 3.20pm on Wheatfield Drive.

A police spokesman said: "The victim, an elderly woman, bent down after feeling a pain in her leg and as she did so her handbag was stolen by a male teenager riding a bicycle."

The offender is described as aged between 16 and 18 with short dark hair. He was wearing a grey top and black trousers with something red underneath his top.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed this is asked to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
