GCSE results have continued to improve in Yate, yet again.

Schools in Yate have achieved another great year with GCSE results improving once again in most schools.

 

At Yate International Academy 50 per cent of students achieved five or more A* to C grades including English and Maths, with 66 per cent achieving five or more A* to C grades.

At the school, 16 per cent of all results with either an A* or A grade. In science, 77 per cent of all grades were A* to C, and sport students achieving 50 per cent A*s and As.

This is the academies most impressive results year yet making a significant improvement on 2010.

 

At Chipping Sodbury School 70 per cent of the pupils gained five or more GCSEs grade A*-C. Just over 50 per cent of students achieved five GCSE grades A*-C including English and maths.

 

Results at Chipping Sodbury School have improved dramatically but the school still feels it has a long way to go and more improvements can be made. However, with success like this, the team at the school have proved all the hard work and effort is worth it.

 

At Brimsham Green School more than 80 per cent of students achieved five or more A* to C grades at GCSE, this is a 12 per cent increase on last year's results.

At the school 59 per cent of students achieved A* to C grade including English and maths.

English proved a particularly successful subject with 76 per cent of students getting grade C or above.  Star pupils James Stewart and Harrison Packer, were a cut above the rest taking home 13 A* grades each.

 

Students throughout Yate and Chipping Sodbury have shown all the hard work was worth it, so a big congratulations to all GCSE students.
