A care home for the elderly in Yatel is
under review after concerns were raised by a whistleblower.
No new residents are being admitted to
Oaktree House care home in Yate while the South Gloucestershire Safeguarding
Adults Board investigates.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is also
carrying out its own review.
A spokesman for owners Four Seasons Healthcare
said they are "co-operating fully" and that it would be
"inappropriate" to comment at present.
In a statement, the South Gloucestershire
Safeguarding Adults Board said: "The board acted immediately to
investigate the concerns according to established safeguarding procedure and
has confirmed that there is no immediate risk to residents."
The investigation, which involves meetings
with a number of the 80 residents, is now being carried out and is expected to
take a number of weeks to complete.
