Police Appeal After Copper stolen from electricity sub-station

Police are appealing for information after copper was stolen from an electricity sub-station.
The burglary occurred between 5pm on Friday January 6 and 8am on Monday January 9, 2011. An electricity sub-station on Larks Lane, Iron Acton was broken into and a small amount of copper stolen.
The matter has been reported to police and an investigation has begun to identify anyone involved and locate the stolen metal.
Anyone who knows who is responsible or saw people acting suspiciously in the area over the weekend is asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101. Alternatively, phone the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. They never ask your name or trace your call.

These people must be desperate to make fast money. So many have been seriously burned or died as a result of electricution whilst attempting to steal form electricity substations.
