Shopping centre please build a cinema

Hello I know that a few of the shopping centre staff monitor the website so please listen:

Many people want a cinema in yate but as soon as somewhere is knocked down the council build houses please stop, it's better to build something everyone wants than annoying houses which just look ugly.

Now before you say: ''The Armadillo is getting a cinema'' it going to be small and the Armadillo is built for teenagers not everyone.

I agree completley with this so why did it not happen?

Please listen I like yate but I dont want to have to travel all the way to cribbs causeway just to watch a film with people on the weekends.

I never understood why Longwell Green got a bowling alley, lots of restaurants and a multiplex cinema and we didn't... once there was talk of all this being built on the roundabout where the new council offices are....ummm. Guess who won that battle. !!!

Also as there has been no news yet I will ask the members of Yatepeople to say where they would like the Cinema to be put in Yate:

The Overflow car park and land behind.

The 3 units built along with Tescos (Knocked together)

I totally agree with this! Yate NEEDS saving. It's such a lovely town but it's true colours are being hidden. People get put off by coming to Yate as soon as they hear the words 'Cranleigh Court' and 'Abbotswood' but in reality people, everywhere has dark areas! Tesco has already made Yate a better place, but we need more. The younger generation have already set across their feelings about a Cinema being built. Who wouldn't want one?! As previously stated, it's good for the environment, nearly all of South Gloucestershire would benefit! Sorry for my inpoliteness but I am getting fed up with broken promises! If you can build a shiny new, huge Tesco, new schools and new shops- new youth cafes and needless amounts of houses, in my eyes its ridiculous that you can't build a cinema needed SO badly. Planned and talked about for years, yet still just left. Nobody wants Yate to be forgotten and sink to a town that nobody hates, so why don't we bring out the best of Yate and get what it needs!
