Supermarket re-vamp in Yate

There aren't many towns in which you see three major supermarkets within such close proximity as you do in Yate.

With Morrison's, Tesco and Lidl all so close together, it is interesting to see if the Morrison's and Lidl have seen a dip in trade since the opening of our new Tesco store. Although it could be the opposite, for those of us who aren't that found of change, have we flocked to what we know and avoided the giant that is Tesco?

That being said, it is great to see that our Lidl store is having a facelift all of its own. In the shadow of the Tesco store, it could have faded into oblivion but the smaller supermarket is very much in favour, not only in Yate, but across the country. The small German owned supermarket is a great place to find bargains and a variety of varied foods from the continent.

The supermarket is due to reveal the extent of its renovations very soon and I for one will be very happy when it re-opens.
