Westerleigh Road Closed Due To Gas Leak

If any one else like me was driving through Yate last night you would have been greeted by Police and a road closed sign at the roundabout by B and Q and the exit to Weterleigh road.

There were no signs there at the time but I have now learnt that the road was closed due to a gas leak.

When I was driving through last night, there were gas and police on site dealing with the incident but the road was still closed this morning.

This obviously caused some traffic chaos this morning with people having to find alternative routes to work and school.

I will try to keep you updated at to when the road is likely to re-open.
