More Reports of Drug Seized Around Yate

There have been a number of reports over the past few weeks of house raids in and around the Yate area in which drugs have been seized.

Yate Police Do A Fantastic Job Tackling Drug Crime

It has been reported that a property in Yate was subject to a search in which over 50 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment were seized.

At this address a 31 year old male was arrested in connection with the haul. The total street value of the plants taken by Police is a staggering £50,000.

On a separate occasion, a house just outside Yate was also raided in the same week and plants totally £22,000 street value was obtained by Police.

In this operation two arrests were made, one for a 36 year old woman and the other being a 15 year old boy.

I was not aware of such drugs problems in our area. I did not expect to read of such large seizures of cannabis in homes so nearby.

I am also shocked by the age of some of the suspects arrested in the raids. I may be a little naive but I wouldn’t suspect quieter areas to have such a large drug problem.

Cannabis can be just as dangerous. The effects of cannabis are still unknown and the effects on the brain, the psychosis and mental breakdown casued by cannabis use is not told enough. People need to know the dangerous long term effects of cannabis use.

maybe they should raid the hostel staff for once seens though some one who works in there her husband used to do cocaine cos one of the dealers mates recognised him as a customer once.
and weed dont kill anyone. weed aint dangerous.
its the other drugs u gotta worry about like every one on bubble and ket, thats what they need to be sorting out.
the have alreayd said that weed does less damage to you than drinking does.
