GAS AND DRAINAGE WORKS TO START AT
YATE SHOPPING CENTRE ON 9TH MAY

Major gas and drainage works will start at Yate Shopping Centre on 9th May and are expected to last up to three weeks.

The works, part of the on-going programme for the new Tesco Extra store, will mainly take place behind the construction hoardings around the site.
However for the initial period, there will be works in the northern car park along the perimeter of the existing temporary Tesco store.

Andy Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager, said: “We will be working to keep disruption to a minimum but there will be a temporary loss of a few car parking spaces during the early part of the works.

“The old Tesco has now been demolished and work is starting this week on erecting the steelwork for the new store. We are still on target for an October opening. The full construction programme is outlined in the latest newsletter which is being circulated this week.”
