MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA KICKS OFF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
AT YATE SHOPPING CENTRE

This Thursday, 17th November, Yate Shopping Centre is hosting a musical extravaganza of artists who will be performing ahead of the Christmas lights being turned on.

The day kicks off at Noon with the arrival of Father Christmas, being pulled in his magical sleigh by 6 white ponies, who will be delivering him to his Grotto at Noon ready to meet his first customer of the day.
The ever popular Calypso band will start the musical programme on the central stage at 2.30pm followed by many local popular artists – talent show runner-up Gina, local rock band frontman Jay Shortman, Oliver Garland and 2011 Talent Show winner Lee Beaumont. They will be joined by welsh pop star and former 3SL band member Andy Scott Lee, X Factor's Johnny and star from The Only Way is Essex, James Argent.

Johnny and James will be turning the Christmas lights on at 6.45pm.

The shopping centre walk ways will be awash with lights and colour this year, with regular appearances by a wide variety of children attractions. The traditional charity street fair will be down South Walk, and the fun fair rides down West Walk.
