POUNDLAND OPENING ANOTHER BOOST FOR YATE SHOPPING CENTRE

The opening of Poundland in Yate Shopping Centre is another sign of the popularity of Yate Shopping Centre.

The Poundland store in South Walk opens on Thursday, 3rd May with a family fun day featuring Kevin Fletcher, also known as Andy Sugden, from Emmerdale Farm on Saturday, 5th May.

Shopping Centre Manager, Andrew Lowrey, "The opening of Poundland demonstrates the popularity of the centre to both retailers and shoppers.
With over 100 stores and 13 million visitors every year, Yate Shopping Centre is a major shopping destination.

"Poundland is one in a series of new features coming to the Centre over the summer with the Wetherspoon public house scheduled to open at the end of the month and further announcements through the summer.

"Importantly, as Europe's biggest single price discount retailer, Poundland will attract shoppers into the heart of the shopping centre giving other shops valuable exposure and additional footfall."

Poundland has taken over the old Peacock store which closed last month and will create 30 new jobs.
