Pre-School Places

Did you know that Yate has a specialist pre-school offering places to children aged 2 and above with and without additional needs.
Yate Opportunity Group, located at the bottom of Cranleigh Court Road, next to the Children Sure Start Centre, is the only pre-school in South Gloucestershire that is fully equip to take children who suffer from a disability. Not only do these children recieve excellent pre-schooling, but it is also invaluable for children without additional needs to learn to play and interact with children who have disabilities, thus preventing any form of discrimination from an early age. The pre-school is a registered charity and often hold fundriasing events.
The pre-school is looking to expand and offer new and additional services. There is currently a sensory room, specalist play equipment and additional staffing to allow one on one adult/child supervision.
The staff are all experienced in dealing with child with additional needs and use Makaton as a way of allowing children who would normally struggle to communicate express themselves.
The pre-school works alongside other professionals who help to care and develop children with additional needs such as speech and lanuage therapists, physiotherapists, consultants etc.
