SHOPPING CENTRE JACKS UP MEGA PROMOTIONAL PUSH
Yate Shopping Centre has announced its most exciting promotional campaign for years to attract customers during the development of the new Tesco Extra store.
“It is important to ensure that despite losing our key anchor store for seven months everybody knows we are still open for business!”, according to Yate Shopping Centre Manager, Andy Lowrey.
The campaign kicked off this week with the sponsorship of Jack FM’s traffic and travel until 22nd April when listeners will hear “Traffic & travel with Yate Shopping Centre – for all your national & independent shops”. This message will be played 120 times per week.
From April 25th for 7 weeks Yate Shopping Centre will be providing the opportunity for a customer to win a new Suzuki Alto for £2. To promote this event the radio campaigns tag line will change to “Traffic & travel with Yate Shopping Centre and the £2 car – visit http://tinyurl.com/3k2fbye
Selected retailers will be given the opportunity to sell the £2 tickets thus encouraging footfall in to their stores. Retailers taking part will also benefit from their store name being included within the promotional material.
Andy Lowrey: “We appreciate that these are particularly testing times for both retailers and shoppers with both the major redevelopment and the current economic climate so we have committed to a major marketing push. We are eager to work with the retailers to ensure that shoppers know it’s business as usual! This campaign will continue through to the end of the school summer holidays.”
Other promotions are in the pipeline for throughout the summer and full details on all events will be on the shopping centre’s website and will be supported by in centre posters and leaflet drops.
