I have to ask if the Yate Town Council can help a few of us in Yate who would like to find out where the smell of burning, late at night, is coming from and who is doing it, please.

This has happened for many years now, and is not a regular nightly thing. However, it is strong enough to cause alarm. It smells like animal fur being burned and so I think it is an agricultural problem.

The Environmental Health Department of South Gloucestershire Council have asked me to provide evidence; times and location and everything needed for them to persue the case, but it has not been possible to trace the source. Perhaps you can advise what can be done about the problem, please.
