Rounceval House Heritage Day
The House dates back to about 1670 when the Steward of the Lord of the manor lived in the house. The steward was also the Town Constable and it is rumoured that prisoners stayed in the cellar overnight, which still has bars at the window. It is thought that some form of dwelling was sited here as long
ago as the Medieval Ages.
