Yate hosts some of the most beautiful and interesting walks in

the South West so, if you want to get out and about this summer, why not take

you and your family on a fabulous walk around Yate.

Information can be found at Yate Town Council on walks that

take in the historic, the modern and the beautiful scenery that surrounds us.

Walks can last up to three hours and are a great way to

spend the day with family.  So why

not take a picnic and venture out into the countryside this summer and explore

the hidden gems on your doorstep.

Walks vary from 1km to up to 6km and are suitable for varying

levels of fitness.  Each walk can

be tailored to your fitness level and ability so suitable for nearly all

members of the family, you could even take the dog.

The great walks around the area visit great landmarks in

Chipping Sodbury to hidden forests between Yate and Westerleigh.  You can even make it more adventurous

and take your compass and Ordinance Survey map and make your own way around the

trail without the official walkers map.

Why not test your skills and make a fun family day out with

a scenic walk around Yate.

Have you even attempted a walk around Yate? What hidden gems

did you discover?

The Yate to Sodbury walk is an absolute gem and on a sunny day it really highlights the beauty of the area. I also suggest the church walk through the three churches of Sodbury. It is a beautiful walk for a Sunday afternoon.
