Yate Heritage Centre are celebrating their 10 year anniversary this month and are holding special 10 year anniversary events on September 11th.

Yate Heritage Centre is 10
Part of the 10 year celebrations, Yate Heritage Centre would like to plant anniversary tree with the help of a child in Yate who is also celebrating their 10th birthday in September.
Do you know any children born in September 2000? Would like them to help celebrate and become part of Yate’s Heritage Celebrations? If you would like to nominate a child to plant the anniversary tree, please contact Mr Hardhill on 01454 862200.
As well a tree planting ceremony, the centre will also be hosting folk singers, acro-gymnastics and the ‘medicine man’ will be taking visitors through treatments used throughout the years on patients in the area.
It is set to be a fantastic day of celebrations that will highlight the fantastic work carried out throughout the years at the centre.
The day will run from 10.30am – 4.30pm so make sure to go along. As well as exhibits inside the centre there will be a number of craft stalls and St Marys’ School Choir will be joined by a local brass band to entertain visitors throughout the day.
Yate’s Mayor David Hardhilll and MP Steve Webb will also take part in the day of celebration at the centre.
Have you visited Yate Heritage Centre over the Years? What are your fondest memories of the heritage centre?

I'll be there selling hand made greeting cards..am really looking forward to it. I will be bringing along a selection of cards and to tie in with the British theme, some of them will feature Beatrix Potter Characters. I will also be selling a few handmade gift boxes. As well as selling cards I will also be happy to talk about volunteering to anyone interested, as I am also co-ordinator of Yate Volunteer Centre.

ReportAny craft stool holders who are exhbiting at the anniversary celebrations, make sure you let everyone here on Yatepeople know that you will be there. A little bit of self promotion never hurt anyone. Plus, I'd quite like to know what the craft sellers will be selling. I like a good craft fair.
