Have a clear-out ahead of fun day

FAMILIES are being urged to have a clear-out before joining a fun day at the Cancer Research UK shop in Yate.

The event on Saturday has been organised to boost funds towards the charity’s life-saving work.

There will be a raffle to win a hamper and a tombola with donated prizes.

Shop manager Debbie Hopkins said: “We have tremendous support in Yate, especially as so many people have personally been touched by cancer in some way.”

But she said the shop couldn’t exist without good quality donations and appealed for those attending the fun day to take a bag of items with them.
