Almost £1 Million given to religious groups while needy groups suffer

A though days ago South Glos Council was "Forced" to publish the money it has given to religious organisations (above £500). For a three month period April - June 2010, I now understand why the council wanted to keep this data quiet because it comes to a staggering £929,684.69p thats almost 4 Million Pounds a year if you hypothetically multiply it by four.

I have been campaigning for more than 12 years to try and get this overwhelmingly religious council to support needy minority groups and they repeatedly say they have no money to give to these groups and yet it gives almost 4 Million Pounds of taxpayers money to religious organisations each year.
