Leaders Oldland Abbotonians lost their 100 per cent record as they went down 4-2 to undefeated Almondsbury.

Oldland had already been beaten by their opponents twice this term – 4-1 in October's League Cup meeting and 6-1 in their GFA Under-18 Shield clash a month later – and they fell behind early on.

Oldland equalised on 15 minutes but the rest of the half belonged to Almonds. Three more goals followed before the break and it would have been more but for some stunning saves by Oldland keeper Tom Reid.

Oldland pulled a goal back in the second half but never looked like saving the game. On target for Oldland were Sam Winfield and Joe Chandler, with Almondsbury's goals coming from Geraint Williams (2), Tam Kitgrave and Ben Dowdell.

Longwell Green Sports, bidding for only their second league win of the season, took a 2-0 half-time lead against Gala Wilton through Jamie Wright and Andrew Gibbs. But three second-half Gala goals from Jon Blackwell, Liam Holpin and Alex Bath dashed their hopes.

Thornbury Town and visiting Winterbourne United drew 1-1, with Dave Tweed scoring for Thornbury and Reece Dunn for Winterbourne.

Yate Town reached the semi-finals of the League Cup in thrilling fashion with a 6-5 penalty shoot-out success over visiting Cheltenham Saracens.

Matt Tovey (2), Lee Chapman, Cory Simpson and Troy Budd scored for Yate, with Cleo Hoare (2), Stuart Midwinter (2) and Josh Goodhall on the mark for Saracens as the tie finished 5-5 after extra-time.
