Hunt for pair who hit dad in the street

A MAN was assaulted in front of his wife and two young children as he walked along Westerleigh Road, Yate.

The family were approached by two young men, thought to be brothers, with one of them hitting the father.

The victim was treated in hospital for injuries to his head.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 3pm on Sunday, August 8 to contact them.

They said the brothers were white, aged 18-20 and dressed casually. One had short dark hair and the other slightly longer, blond hair.
