New Local Candidate To Stand For General Election

CHIPPING SODBURY YACHT CLUB SPONSOR CANDIDATE IN                          GENERAL ELECTION 2010

 The Chipping Sodbury Yacht Club who were founded more than a quarter of a century ago and have long been campaigners for the rights of the people of Chipping Sodbury are very proud to announce that they will be sponsoring a candidate from the newly formed  'INDEPENDENT SODBURY PEOPLE'S POPULAR FRONT'

                                    whose slogan is:

'PUTTING COMMON SENSE BEFORE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS'

 to stand at the forthcoming General Election.

The club has agreed to the manifesto under which the party will campaign as follows:-

   INDEPENDENT SODBURY PEOPLE'S POPULAR FRONT

       'Putting Common Sense before Political Correctness'

    MANIFESTO FOR 2010 GENERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN

    * Clean up parliament and put a stop to sleaze.

    * End the system of expenses for overpaid MPs

    * Take England out of the European Community

    * Ban the Euro.

    * Home rule for Chipping Sodbury.

    * Link the Chipping Sodbury pound to the Australian Dollar

    * Divert the River Frome through Chipping Sodbury Town Centre to prevent future flooding due to Global Warming.

    *Improve trade between Chipping Sodbury and the rest of the Commonwealth countries.

    

As there are several members of the party who wish to stand in the election and being a fully democratic organisation a process of selection of a suitable candidate will take place on the 1st April 2010 during the AGM of the sponsoring club. It is hoped to announce the name of the successful candidate immediately after this providing that there is no requirement to run a second ballot of the membership.
