Steve Webb re-elected as MP for Yate and Thornbury

Steve Webb has been re-elected as MP for Thornbury and Yate.

The Lib-Dem won more than 25,000 votes, giving him more than 50 per cent.

Conservative Matthew Riddle came second, with Labour's Roxanne Egan coming third.

The results for Thornbury and Yate in full:

Steve Webb (Lib Dem) 25,032 votes (51.9 per cent)

Matthew Riddle (Conservative) 17,916 votes (37.2 per cent)

Roxanne Egan (Labour) 3,385 votes (seven per cent)

Jenny Knight (UKIP) 1,709 votes (3.5 per cent)

Thomas Beacham (Ind Fed UK) 126 votes (0.3 per cent)

Anthony Clements (Ind) 58 votes (0.1 per cent)
