Ways to remember grandma and grandad

If you are a regular visitor to either Bristol's Lasting Tribute website, or the version that covers Gloucestershire, you will know that they have both become trusted places for people to share their memories, pictures and condolences and celebrate the lives of those they have loved and admired.

We see many people adding tributes for their grandparents which talk about happy childhood memories and sometimes include lovely pictures like the ones in this article.

Anyone who pays for a bereavement or 'in memoriam' notice to appear in one of our partner newspapers - including the Evening Post, the Citizen and the Gloucestershire Echo - will also have it added to Lasting Tribute so that friends and family across the world can add memories and pictures.

Grandparents Day began in America in the 1970s but the charity Age Concern brought it over to the UK in 1990 to honour these special people in our lives.
