Women injured as minibus and two cars collide

A WOMAN suffered neck injuries in a crash involving a minibus and two cars in Yate.

Another woman suffered spinal injuries in the collision, which happened at the junction of Station Road and Eggshill Lane.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the crash at about 4pm on Wednesday afternoon.

The female driver of one of the cars, a Mazda, is thought to be in her 20s and suffered neck injuries in the accident.

She was assisted at the scene by a paramedic who arrived by air ambulance. She was later taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

In the second car, a Vauxhall, the male driver who was in his 50s was not hurt, but his female passenger, also in her 50s, suffered spinal injuries.

The roof of the car had to removed to get her out of the car and she was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The minibus driver was unhurt.
