Yate power failure causes O2 coverage blackout for many

Yate found itself last night at the centre of anger over O2 coverage failure.
O2 Customers across Northern Ireland, the Midlands and South West England to plunged into a coverage blackout last night after planned engineering work had taken place in Yate.
Customers were unable to make voice calls and access online data until 0300hrs on Wednesday.
O2 posted a message on its Twitter feed to apologise to customers who were suffering with loss of service.
O2 have stated that there are still some issues with voice mail but normal service has been resumed.
Customers found themselves unable to communicate during one of the most historical events in political history, as power was cut during David Cameron's and Nick Clegg's emergence as the new coalition government.
