This is a Group for General Discussion topics related to Yate when none of the other Groups quite fit the bill.

Yate has been my home for over 30 years, I chose to move to this part of South Glos. (Avon as it was then) because it was a new town and where my wife and I would like to bring up our two boys. And as we are still here (one Son with his own family in Yate and one with his family in Frampton) I guess it worked out well for us. I like the shoping centre and can't wait for the new Tesco to open.
I would like to see home owners looking after their gardens better .With the up-serge in landlords in Yate, many properties are run down, giving a bad impresison on the area. I don't like the delay in the completion of 'The road to no where' and the Cycle path link to Cox Hill, I would also like to see better kept roads around Yate.
