Yate's Newest Homes Are On The Market
Saturday 8th January sees the first properties released for sale by Taylor-Wimpey on the new Elswick Park development. These new homes are the first of their kind for many years to enter the market in Yate.
On the development, you can find one and two bed apartments, three, four and five bedroom homes and three storey town houses which all start from £139,995.
These homes could provide the opportunity for first time buyers to enter the market with prices starting at £139,995. It may only buy you a one or two bedroom apartment but with the current housing market, I think many people will welcome the development.
The development is on the doorstep of the Cotswold’s as well as being on the fringes of Yate. It should hopefully drive new life into Yate by attracting more people to the area.
The lack of new build homes is sometimes off putting for buyers and this is the beginning of what could be a regeneration of Yate thanks to the development. As we know we are set to see larger developments over the next few years under the South Gloucestershire developments plans.
Although I would like to see more eco-friendly developments and affordable houses, not just apartments for first time buyers, I do welcome the new development as it should only bring about positive progression for Yate.
How do you feel about the development? Do you welcome development in Yate? Do you feel this enough new housing for Yate?
