ALLthe goals came in a frantic first game as Bromley Heath overcame Yate United 6-2 in Division C.
Mason Lewis took the individual honours with five goals, while Harry Whithers scored the other.
A well-taken goal by Sam Bidder and a strike by debutant Lucas Lingham ensured Yate got some reward for their efforts.
The second game was played at a slower pace but there were fine performances for Yate by Kieran Hacker, Alex Langridge and Joe Shutt.
The Bromley defence and keeper stood up to everything that came their way and, with both teams putting up strong resistance, the contest finished goalless.
Downend Boys made a fantastic start to the Division C season by thumping Bradley Stoke Youth 11-1.
The recently-relegated Bradley Stoke side put up a brave battle in the first game, giving Downend defenders Regan Webb and Spencer Robertshaw plenty to think about.
Kori Crosbie finally made the breakthrough with a neat finish to put Downend in front, before a good save by Harry Coles denied Bradley Stoke an equaliser.
Jacob Britton extended the lead with sizzling shot from outside the box and they almost made it 3-0 as midfielder Harry Hoare’s fantastic shot was tipped over the bar by the Bradley Stoke keeper.
The second game was a different story as Downend piled on the pressure from the start. A great header from Edward Grant opened their account and the goals kept coming after that, with Ollie Redfern scoring four times and Liam Trueman and Ellis Yeeles both on target twice. Bradley Stoke hit a consolation goal with a great shot, which George Duggan had no chance of saving.
Longwell Green made a winning start in Division D, beating Yate Rangers 4-2.
Goals from Liam Harper, Jack Stewart, Zac Mainstone and Lewis Czugalinski secured them a 4-1 first-game win, aided by a solid performance from keeper Archie Rawlings.
Bailey Staynings and Caleb Goode were strong in the tackle and Joe Brodie used his pace to good effect in conjunction with Alex Manning and Tyler Vidaurri.
The second match was a different story as Yate snatched a 1-0 win, but Longwell worked hard throughout, with James Ireland, Dan Amos, Josh Rogers, Ben Harris and Adam Moreman all making strong tackles.
Cameron Mills, Josh Ford, Finn Heslop and Ben Stanley put in energetic performances and keeper Chris Sands made several good saves.
Nicholas Wanderers Colts roared to a 6-1 aggregate victory over St Nicholas in the same division.
Man-of-the-match George Brimble was involved in everything, winning the penalty that Bradley Ind calmly slotted away to give them a first-game lead.
Defender Will Heywood showed a calm head when the pressure was on in the second half, breaking up the play and picking out Danny Luther to beat an opponent and hammer the ball into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box for Colts’ second goal.
St Nicholas came out of the blocks quickly at the start of the second match, taking an early lead though Michael Hobbs.
Wanderers looked sharper in the second period and Joe Yabsley equalised from a corner by man-of-the-match Danny Evans.
The floodgates opened after that as striker Charlie Melksham scored twice, the first following a mazy run from the halfway line and the second with a tap-in after an enterprising Evans run. Anton Mills added a fourth to cap a superb display on his first outing for the club.
