Has anyone else noticed more young people at the gyms in Yate?

Is it just me of has anyone else noticed that there appears

to be more and more younger teens in the gym in Yate leisure centre?

I’m not sure if there is an age restriction on children

entering gyms but I would have thought below the age of 16 it would be

unhealthy for children to use gym equipment.

Surely their bodies are not developed enough to be able to

benefit from exercise. A gym workout is much different than PE.

PE is the development of sports and learning the skills for

team sports and the basics of athletics. PE develops the body for further

physical activity in later life. I can’t believe that going to the gym below 16

is good for them.

Another point, which may just be a personal opinion is that

I find young people in the gym off putting and somewhat of an annoyance. I know

on the outside those that get into

the gym appear older but

some, lack the maturity on the inside to behave appropriately on the gym

equipment and respect the other users in the gym.

Is there an limit for the use of gyms? And has anyone else

noticed the growing number of youngsters obsessing over exercise?

I have noticed younger and younger people entering the gym and surprisingly more boys than girls. I am sure that you have to be 16 to enter a gym but maybe staff aren't be vigilant enough to check the customers ages. It should be monitored before it gets out of hand.
